Dr. Andrew Mitchell, DMD
Dr. Andrew Mitchell is a board-certified orofacial pain specialist. He is Tennessee’s first licensed orofacial pain specialist and is one of fewer than 300 board-certified orofacial pain specialists nationwide. Dr. Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He returned to the University of Kentucky to complete his orofacial pain residency. The University of Kentucky Orofacial Pain Residency Program is widely regarded as the top orofacial pain residency program, thanks to its world-renowned faculty members that shaped the entire landscape of orofacial pain. Dr. Mitchell received his training from several prominent names in the field, including Dr. Jeffrey Okeson, Dr. Reny de Leeuw, Dr. Isabel Moreno-Hay, and others. Collectively, they have produced incredible research and authored multiple orofacial pain textbooks.
